One such police officer is fifty two years old  Joseph Kamara, who appeared before Magistrate Dr. Abubakar Binneh Kamara in his Chambers, yesterday  to answer to one count charge of sexual of penetration of an eleven years old girl  child , contrary to Section (19) of the Sexual Offences Act of 2012, of the laws of Sierra Leone.

Accused charge sheet indicated that he sexually penetrated the sexual organs of an eleven years old girl name (withheld) at Jui New Site along the Freetown –Waterloo high, on Tuesday 10 January 2017.

Inspector Mansaray is the led evidence he submitted that the victim intimated that he recognized the accused person and vividly remembered the incident of Tuesday 10 January 2017, stating that on the said date, she went to fetch water at a dug-up well in the compound of the accused person.

 She informed her audience that on her arrival she requested for keys from the accused person, and the accused told her to collect the keys in his room, adding that no sooner she entered into the room, the accused person sneaked into the room and forcefully undressed her.

After that the alleged sexual offender, Joseph Kamara forcefully had sex with her and after the whole exercise, she realized that blood was oozing from her private part, including semen and that the accused person decided to play pornographic movie.

She told the court that  whiles both of them were watching the blues movie her aunty by the mane of Hassanatu Sesay, who was in searched of   her, suddenly  dashed into the accused person’s compound and rushed into the room, where both of them  were caught watching the aforementioned movie.

The witness also stated that her mother, aunty, including her reported the matter at the Hasting Police Division, after which statement was obtained from her and a police medical request form was issue to her, for medical examination at the Rainbow Centre and the Princess Christian Maternal Hospital (PCMH) in Freetown.

The matter was adjourned to 14 February 2017.
