He added that in order to resolve the problem people are facing, they have received enough funds to help render effective and quality service to their customers.

Maada S. Kengeh maintained that for them to render quality service, they need to advance their operational system in terms of water supply to be of standard.

He conceded that the eastern part of Freetown has serious challenges in terms of water supply and that special attention should be given to that part of the capital this time around.

The Deputy General Manager said the reason why there is water shortage in eastern Freetown is because water is being supplied from the western part of the capital and by the time it reaches to the east, only a few people will be able to get it. He assured that they are working out modalities to tackle the problem, adding that about 600,000 people will benefit from water supply in Freetown after advancing their operational system.

Mr. Kengeh however reiterated that the dry season is the most difficult time in term of water supply and consequently, the company faces serious challenge in supplying water to their customers.

He assured that they will do their utmost in handling the situation.
