Dream Maker Foundation founder, Moses Lamin Kamara stated that the foundation is legally registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs as a community based organization, designed to complement the frantic efforts of the government in addressing plights that engulf access to education of vulnerable children in impoverished communities.

Moses Lamin Kamara revealed that the courtesy call is not only to update Lawyer Mariama Dumbuya and build the profile of the foundation but to also raise fund for two of the foundation’s education projects – the Child Support and School Support projects.

According to Moses Lamin Kamara, the former provides education materials to out-of-school children and the latter provides teaching materials to the three community schools the foundation is supporting.

He commended Lawyer Mariama Dumbuya for her assurance to enhance to the sustainability of the foundation.

DMF-SL Project Officer, Pastor Paul Conteh said that the foundation has identified four hundred children who are of school going age, but out-of-school not because their parents do not want them to be in school but poverty, terminal ailments, aging of their parents and single parenting are the principal blocks restricting those children being to school, adding, “when others are in school enjoying their rights to education and building their futures as articled in local and international legal instruments, they are in waste deposit locations looking for scrap items to be sold”.

He revealed that the foundation has registered over four hundred out-of-school children who are yearning to become lawyers, doctors, journalists, accountants among other professions as none of them ever wished to become cart-pushers, thieves or associate to any corrupt practice that would bring their family names in disrupt.

According to Pastor Paul Conteh the only way those children can achieve their dreams is when affluence people and business entities with humanitarian DNA like Lawyer Mariama Dumbuya provide supports that will not only send them to school but keep them there.

Madam Mariama Dumbuya Esq. welcomed the team for the courtesy call and the uncountable supports to vulnerable children in their areas of operation, adding, “providing humanitarian supports to vulnerable people is part of me and wholeheartedly willing to not only to finance the education of some of these children but also provide the foundation with professional supports more especially on the legal and fundraising issues”.

DMF-SL Administrative and Finance Officer, Madam Saundatu M. Dumbuya lauded Mariama Dumbuya Esq. for the passion she has for vulnerable people more especially the children and assured of the foundation willingness to do all it takes to cement what she described as professional relationship.

Madam Saundatu M.
