“Today I stand here as a former member of RSLAF before today many people thought that it only dropouts should go to the military, before today many people thought we have nothing in our head, and I have said to people that officer is a gentleman that he or she does not want to fight because they know the ramification of fighting the collateral damage is too much we know what it means we do it when it is necessary to protect and defend territorial integrity of our country, and that is what we sign up for.” President Bio added.

He called on them to be focused and dedicated in order to continue making the institution proud. He assured them he will always be proud to have served in the military. He reiterated that this day always reminded him of what he went through in the military over 20yrs ago.

The Chief of Defense staff Major General Brima Sesay thanked the Commander-In-Chief in approving the names of all the officers that were put forward for promotion.

He further applauded the three newly promoted Brigadier Generals for their outstanding services throughout their service in the military, he emphasized that they have distinguished characters.

 He continued that the rank of the Brigadier General is for a choosing few that possess distinguish quality, adding that the promotion is from God and that the officers have great responsibilities.

Delivering the vote of thanks Brigadier General Augustine Kinnie Fefegula expressed gratitude for the promotion to the rank of Brigadier General and assured the Commander-In-Chief of their relentless commitment towards serving the nation.
