Public Education Officer, ACC Office in Kenema, Sylvanus Blake, made presentations on the background, vision, mission and objectives of the NACS; the eight strategic pillars of the NACS; the nine anti-corruption tool kits (institutional corruption prevention tools) contained in the Strategy; and the composition, functions and reporting format for IMCs, among others.

Mr. Blake stated that the ACC puts premium on enforcement in this current generation of the Strategy and will issue instructions to public bodies of changes in practices and procedures necessary to reduce corruption. He further noted that the strategy also mandates heads of public bodies to comply with such instructions or face consequences.

The Public Education Officer maintained that the strategy is a semblance of public-private partnership blueprint of the various roles both state and non-state actors should play in the next five years to address incidences of corruption. He stated that the full implementation of every action point was crucial in winning the war against corruption. Mr. Blake encouraged all MDAs to take the required actions in addressing integrity issues at their various MDAs.

Earlier, the Eastern Regional Manager of the ACC, Keifala Koi encouraged the participants to comply with the law and lawful instructions from the Commission, maintaining that the ACC was resolute in enforcing the law for any form or type of corruption committed.
