The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministries of Gender and Children’s Affairs and Social Welfare over the weekend visited victims of the Susan’s Bay fire disaster.

After the visit, a rapid Needs Assessment was conducted and spaces secured with Interim Care Partners to house displaced children and women.

In addition, as part of government’s moves also to console the victims, an emergency meeting was held with all key stakeholders to finalise the disaster implementation plan which was scheduled to begin just immediately.
