Sierra Leone National Bakers Union (SLENABU) yesterday 24th August, 2021 debunked rumor circulated on social and mainstream media that the price for a Loaf Bread has been increased from Le1,000 to Le150,000.

The Union stated that the rumor is completely false, noting that the price for a loaf of bread still remains at Le1,000 and nothing has changed.

The Union has assured that everything is under control, while also making it explicitly clear that there is no increase in price of bread across the country as rumored.
