Gento irritated that money is not everything in life, and to succeed in life one need to be educated. Owing to that fact, they decided to support and empower in that direction, stating that it will be good for students to try and succeed as that will be the only way to give back to society.

The Chairman for the Malimba Development Union, Tamba Alieu Koroma said the purpose of the scholarship scheme is to ensure that the union leaves a legacy especially in the aspect of education in the country. As well as ensuring the promotion of awareness and unity of the Limba community.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Maj. Rtd. Alfred Palo Conteh encouraged parents to ensure that their children acquired education, stating that with education the children can be productive, capable and independent.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Chernor Bah, mentioned that the union is on the right track in promoting education among the Limba people and that the Limba’s were currently placed in societal prominence as a result of education.

Honourable Chernor Bah stated that he was honoured and privileged to be among the Limba’s in a ceremony to promote education, and added that the Limba people are very much descent and humble people, noting that he is submitting that because he had valid experienced in working with Limba people across Sierra Leone.
