He described the Sierra Leone People’s Party as the country’s most formidable opposition party and therefore should be given the chance to operate as such.

He went on to say that, the Political Party’s Registration Commission has greatly divided the SLPP by accepting one faction as legitimate while leaving the other faction unsatisfied.

He further explained that the Political Parties Registration Commission supposed to call the two aggrieved factions in the SLPP and dialogue with them in order to foster peace and tranquility in the party.

Osman Tarawally further accused the Political Parties Registration Commission of violating the rule of law adding that officials of the PPRC should be schooled on their specific roles and responsibilities as a competent commission.

He said that the public relations unit of the PPRC is definitely not functioning as the commission is not sensitizing citizens of this country about the roles and responsibilities of the commission.

Speaking on the activities of his own political party, Osman Tarawally told this medium he was called to join the People’s Democratic Party in 2013 after the party realized his political potential in 2012 when he contested as an independent candidate for the mayoral seat of Freetown and since then, he has being adding great value to the party.

He submitted that his party had just jolted off some senior members of the party who were found wanting of embezzling monies belonging to the party.

Talking on the reason for which he wants to become president of this nation, Osman registered that  he wants to rule Sierra Leone in order  to  eliminate the suffering of women and children adding that agriculture and youth employment would be top on his agenda.

He ended by telling this medium that the National Electoral Commission is the body responsible for the announcement of election dates and not the president as people are claiming.
