Narrating her ordeal in the Chambers of the presiding Magistrate, Dr. Binneh Kamara, and the victim name who was led in evidence by police prosecutor, Inspector Hawa Bah explained that she recognized the accused and also recalled the incident of 27 December 2016.

She further intimated her audience that on the aforementioned date, she was at home watching movie, when the accused, Michael Voomu visited his aunt, and that the accused usually visits and assists his aunt with some domestic work.

The victim also intimated that whiles she was watching the movie, the accused  called and told her to go the back of her place of residence to play, stating that when they arrived at the back of the yard, the accused pushed her to the ground, forcefully removed her pant,  before penetrating  her sexual organ.

According to her, after the accused had forcefully penetrated her sexual organ, she felt so bad and the accused action prompted her to inform her friends about what had happened to her, adding that her friends later informed her mother who accompanied her to the Family Support Unit at the Kissy Police Division.

She said a police medical request form was issued to her for medical examination and treatment at the rainbow centre at the Princess Christian Maternal Hospital (PCMH) on Fourhbay road in Freetown, as statement was obtained from her in respect of the matter.

Moreover, the victim’s statement and the endorsed police medical request form were also tendered in evidence, as part of the court record and with a special reference to matter under adjudication.

The matter was adjourned to today 14 March 2017.
