Speaking at the ceremony the Principal of CIBMAT, Dr. Titus Sesay said the matriculation had been a traditional and formal procedure at the college, after student had been enrolled in any tertiary institution, they must be matriculated.

 He said the process gave students the right to be part of the college and obtained the qualification they seek.

Dr. Titus Sesay stated that the matriculation ceremony was a formal process for student entering into academic institution in their pursuit of academic qualifications and described the day as one that fastened students together with administering of oath and the signing of the college register.

He furthered that it was the obligation on the part of college administrators to ensure that students have conducive learning environment and for them to behave in a moral and acceptable manner in line with the college rules and regulations.

Delivering his key note address, Dr. Hamza Bangura encouraged the students to be focused and hardworking and always aspired to reach a higher height in academia and status in society.

He pointed out that students should see CIMBAT as their first stage of educational pursuit and further encouraged them to get the zest to attain higher education.

He mentioned that the country had been melting not just because we lacked education, but also the absence of basic integrity and admonished the students to uphold and maintained discipline, as well as abided by the institution law and order.
