Speaking at the event, Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Secretary General in Kono, Sahr Hindowa Mansaray said their party has always been committed to democracy and good governance in the country.

ActionAid Sierra Leone is part of the Standing Together for Democracy Consortium and its Head of Program and Policy, Foday Swaray recommended for the citizen’s manifesto to be renamed as ‘Watin Di People Want’. This, he went on, will prevent politicians from playing games with its contents.

She emphasized the need for candidates in the March 7 polls to declare their assets before elected into public offices. This she said will empower citizens to ask questions of the source of wealth acquired by public officials after serving their official terms.
