In your own words you said: “My new Government is therefore launching 3 peaceful democratic wars: First, a War on Indiscipline; Second, a War on Corruption; and Third, a War on Poverty. These Peaceful democratic wars on Indiscipline, Corruption and Poverty will define my tenure of Office and I am determined to deliver on my promises. Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, I will provide the disciplined leadership to drive and sustain our New Direction revolution”.

In your first six months in office, you actually championed the fight against indiscipline and lawlessness by incorporating the almighty ‘Military Aid to Civil Power – MAC-P’ to curtail cliques and all forms of lawlessness and indiscipline across the country.

This, by all means, was very much successful as it reduced the spate of crimes such as lawlessness, armed robbery and cultism (clique) among other negative things perpetrated by youth.

Back then sir, your people – those who gave you power, those you promised to deliver goodies to, were going to bed and sleep in peace. They were also going about their normal movements without fear of being robbed or attacked by lawless people.

Sir, lately, you seemed to have relaxed on continuing what you started and your hard earned achievements on fighting lawlessness and indiscipline is slowly waving out.

Mr. President, in case you are not aware, kindly be informed that lawlessness, armed robbery and indiscipline have once again become the order of the day, especially in Freetown.

Goderich, for example sir, has become one of the worse zones in the country to reside. Armed robbers and cliques are busy terrorising peaceful residents on a daily basis to an extent that it is now very unsafe to walk after 9:00pm.

Attacking people with knives and cutlasses, stabbing innocent people and rampant house breaking at night have become a normal norm and worse of all sir, despite repeated complaints from residents to the police, the Sierra Leone Police seemed to have done nothing to protect residents from these evil acts.

My President, we all know the immense strength you are putting towards combating hunger and hardship and also corruption, which is clearly being achieved but sir, relaxing on lawlessness and indiscipline will deter your effort in delivering your promises to your people.

See lawless and indiscipline youth and football fans terrorising peaceful residents along Campbell street, Kroo Town road, Syke street, Saint John, Brookfields and environs on Monday night. This was one latest situation that exposes the incapacity of the police to handle lawlessness and indiscipline. The riotous youth coming from a football match at the stadium between Foulah Town FC and Brookfields United attacked and terrorises residents and left properties worth millions of leones destroyed.

Please Mr. President, we know it is possible that some people around you might not be telling you the truth about happenings on the ground and we know you are too busy with national issues to be aware of everything.

But sir, we believe that through this publication, you can read real happenings on the ground and will surely address them. Please save your people sir.
