The training according to the organizers encompasses several areas ranging from monitoring and evaluation, report writing, tax management, leadership and management techniques, and effective communicative skills.

With capacity building as a key step towards having good result in any work of life, ACIPP is a foreign based consultant brand that seeks to bring about sustainable services through training, consulting and also through human resource exchange programs (internships placement) which according to them have contributed positively to the human resource development program.

The Executive Director, ACIPP, Simon Sossah said continuous training on capacity building is a vital tool that always brings about good result, adding that most times many nongovernmental organizations and institutions organizes training for other organizations without even dreaming of organizing one for themselves. He noted that the move by Action Aid to train staff across the country on capacity building, transparency and accountability speaks volume of the fact that the institution is ready to be the lead nongovernmental institution in the country.

He said they were aware that the trainees have had more than five years of experience on their job, noting that key within the training is for them to utilize the already attained knowledge and experience that the trainees had built overtime more efficiently, effectively with an overall expectation of making Action Aid a star organization by making sure that they can report effectively and show donor that they are effectively and efficiently using funding.

He said their credibility has spoken for them, as unlike other trainers, they leave behind resources and also make themselves available for specifics for which there is clarification with assessment on what the trainees have learnt.

“We are sure that the training would strongly aid in capacitating these staff,” he said, stating that as they move along in the training exercise, they must however feel relaxed to knock their doors should they are faced with any difficulty.

Various speakers spoke on the relevance of the training, with Head of Administration, Action Aid, Maytou Ganda stressing the relevance of the training, and however called on the participants to devote their attention on the training, and stating her optimism on what the training would yield at the end for more so their filed staff.
