Whilst still a wanted person, Mr. Kamara surreptitiously returned to Sierra Leone sometime in December, 2018 and remained in hiding in his father’s house at Juba, in Freetown.

Following reliable intelligence, the Commission mounted intense surveillance on the premises, which eventually led to his arrest this morning. Appropriate actions will be taken at the end of the investigations, including ensuring that Mr. Kamara is accountable in the NASSIT Sisimi fraud and exemplary punishment for fleeing justice.

The Commission will deal with anyone who decides to flee or subvert the cause of justice for the people of Sierra Leone, or a section thereof.
