At a time when people around the world, especially Sierra Leoneans and more especially members and supporters of the All Peoples Congress (APC) are mourning a colleague senior comrade, Moseray Gibril Santigie Fadika who met his shocking death in London this week, Alpha Kanu is on his own island hunting the President’s seat.

Any patriotic Sierra Leonean, especially a very loyal APC member or supporter, must at this moment in time be mourning Fadika with both eyes full with running tears at least if not for a month but until after the late man has been laid to rest.

But for a very senior APC stalwart and comrade in the person of Alpha Kanu to instead use the moment to hold campaign and sell out his political intention to run for a seat that is yet to be vacated by his boss  not only unethical but unfeeling to say the least.

Well even if Alpha Kanu brings forth an argument that the interview was pre-recorded before the death of Fadika and was only aired after his death, then it is still untimely. It is like him beating the ground and declaring himself hungry for a seat his boss is still sitting on.

Does Alpha Kanu want the world and people of Sierra Leone to believe that his boss President Koroma does not fit the seat any longer, which is why he, of all the president’s apprentices, is so very eager his president’s back and occupy his seat?

Where is the comradeship in the APC that used to exist in the party before? Why should one very senior comrade die and instead of him being mourned a second comrade is busy politically campaigning to see the back of a third and very senior comrade and replace him on a seat he is still resting on? This is definitely not APC.

Please APC comrades allow the people of Sierra Leone to mourn one of their highly missed philanthropists if some of you are not ready to join in mourning him. One wonders how disappointed the Fadika family might be by now to hear this ugly and untimely development coming from no less a person but a very senior APC party stalwart.
