Dr. Sylvia Blyden is also said to have completed filing her petition case at the court registry on Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown.

This medium further gathered that she has also instituted court action against the newly-elected President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio and the Sierra Leone People’s Party.

Furthermore, the African Young Voices learnt that the defeated presidential candidate for the All People’s Congress, Dr. Samura Kamara, the Deputy Chairman and Leader of the party, Minkailu Mansaray and the National Secretary General, Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh have also instituted court action against the Chief Electoral Commissioner and the National Electoral Commission (NEC).

Sources further revealed that the above-named big guns of the main opposition All People’s Congress party are jointly petitioning the result of the just-concluded presidential run-off election, including President Julius Maada Bio and the Sierra Leone People’s Party, and that they even plan to file supplemental affidavits to the Supreme Court.

It is expected that Counsels for all respondents are to respond to the petition matters filed by the Plaintiffs, and ensure that they fast-track the necessary papers to the court registry within seven days for a possible legal argument in the Supreme Court of Sierra Leone.

It could be recalled that last week the APC delegation led by its defeated presidential candidate Dr. Samura Kamara accompanied by top echelon APC members including its National Secretary General Ambassador Foday Osman Yansaneh, Deputy National Chairman and Leader, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray among others visited President Bio to congratulate him on his victory and to raise certain concerns. President Bio promised to work with the APC for the overall development of the country.
