paramount chiefs, and a galaxy of other state functionaries. A few members of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) and a few others were among the jubilant crowd to receive the president at the Freetown International Airport.

It could be recalled that about two weeks ago, President Bio traveled out of the country to UK. But reports about his travel were sketchy and rumors began doing the rounds; some stating that the president was ill and had flown abroad to receive emergency medical treatment. Other reports claimed that the worse – that the president had died.

Responding to questions from AYV while onboard a sea coach bringing him to Freetown, HE President Bio stated that he was not angry at those who had wished him dead, adding that he is now back home hale and hearty and that he would even pray for those that wished him dead to live long so that together they would be part of the development process.

He mentioned that his brief stopover in Kenya was to discuss tourism potentials with his Kenyan counterpart, President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to President Julius Maada Bio, Kenya has great tourist potentials, adding that Sierra Leone can a learn a lot from Kenya especially in the area of wildlife conservation. He called on all well-meaning Sierra Leone’s to stop spreading fake news and help him move the country forward, adding Sierra Leone is far back in terms of development when compared to some of her neighbors but hoped that with cooperation form all and sundry they would together take Sierra Leone to higher heights for the benefit of all citizens.

On her own part, the wife of President Bio, First Lady Fatima Bio when questioned by AYV about how she felt about the fake news and about her husband’s current healthy state. She merely laughed saying the President’s physical appearance and healthy state speaks for itself. She however cautioned those people spreading false news to stop forthwith as they are doing a disservice to the nation rather than helping the situation.

Meanwhile, with his arrival yesterday, all these rumors, speculations and fake reports have been laid to rest and it is hoped that those that were deliberately bandying such malicious and wicked lies about the health state of the president would now be encouraged to stop forthwith.
