According to the country director, he is honored because contributing to the promotion of education has been his dream, noting that the company he is working for deemed it fit to promote the educational sector of the country because they want children to be educated in order to achieve something in life.

“This is just a stepping stone because more opportunities await them,” Saffa promised.

He continued to say that they distributed 500 bags to the children, books, pencils and other learning materials worth millions of Leones. He noted that the Rokel community is not the only community to benefit because they would be targeting other communities as well across the country.

“It is part of the company’s policy and in observance of our corporate social responsibility to make education a priority,” Saffa said.

Speaking of behalf of the teachers, Josephine Yambasu the Head Mistress of Flaming Primary School in Rokel, commended Atlantic Hotel for the donation. According to her, it is the first such donation her school is benefitting from.

Yambasu added that it is timely because some of the beneficiaries of the donation are victims of the August 14th mudslide and flooding incidents.
