This is evident in the many commendations and public pronouncements by private and public figures including politicians on the professional, objective, neutral and nationalistic role AYV has been playing and continues to play since its inception some years ago.

Moreover, during this election period, it came out clearly without any doubt that the manner in which AYV handled and is still handling news and current affairs across the country; and the manner AYV provided and is providing a broad platform for all political figures (incumbent and opposition) to articulate their spectrum of plans and policies for the benefit of the people of Sierra Leone via a television and radio network that stretches across the nooks and crannies of Sierra Leone, in addition to areas that were once unable to receive AYV signal but that now have the opportunity to do so after the installation of state-of-the-art transmitters and repeaters in areas like Waterloo, Kono among others, speak volumes of the determination of the leadership and management of the AYV, in addition to the professionalism demonstrated by its competent and well-trained staff to make the difference and move away from business as usual in the local media.

It is not uncommon for ordinary people to daily greet AYV staff on the streets with words of gratitude, appreciation and thanks, for giving them the opportunity to be informed on a wide range of issues which before now they could only guess and speculate; in addition to giving voice to youth and other groups of people which before the advent of AYV was an abstract whim.

We can thank God that with the direction of the President of AYV Media Empire and the efforts of a professional and diligent management team, the AYV has risen to such enviable height and we have no inclination of coming down…the only direction for AYV is up and doing more.
