The signing of the MOU took place at the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, 28B Kinghamann Road, Brookfields, Freetown in the presence of officials of the ministry and AYV.

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is tasked with the responsibility of contributing to the transformation of Sierra Leone into a middle-income country through exercise of its mandate as the promotion of Tourism is a critical issue for many developing countries of which Sierra Leone is not an exception.

The Africa Young Voices media is one of the leading multimedia institutions in the country, which has greatly contributed in shaping the media landscape in Sierra Leone by changing the narrative of the entire media landscape.

AYV over the years has transformed young prodigy into a portfolio of potentials.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affair Memunatu Pratt, this MOU is a significant step for working together in the future of touristic development and projecting Sierra Leone on International Stage.

She further disclosed that over the years the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Africa Young Voices Media Empire have been great allies in promoting tourism and supporting the work of the tourism sector. 

Ambassador Anthony Navo Jnr. who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Young Voices Media Empire said; such MOU would solidified the existing bond between the two institutions as AYV has the platform to project Sierra Leone beyond the borders of Sierra Leone.

Amb. Navo Jnr. congratulated the Minister Pratt in changing the narrative of Sierra Leone and sated that other institutions should do the same in the area of partnership and working together in developing Sierra Leone by projecting the country’s image high. The Ambassador described the MOU as a historic Partnership.
