The award ceremony will take place at the prestigious Holiday Inn hotel on Coram Street in central London on Saturday, May 21.

Among awards to be received are the 2015 Sierra Leone Football.com Player of the Year and Young player of the year as well as the newly introduced Goal King trophy.

In contention for the player of the year award are Kei Ansu Kamara (New England Revolution, USA), Alhaji ‘Andriano’ Kamara (DC United, USA), Mustapha Dumbuya (Patrick Thistle, Scotland), Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura (Dalian Yifang, China) and Leone Stars captain Umaru Bangura (Dinamo Minsk, Belarus).

The nominees for the Young Player award are Sullay Kaikai (Crystal Palace, England), Ishmail ‘Jorjoh’ Koroma (Nykoping IBS, Sweden), Issa Kallon (FC Utreach, The Netherlands), Victor Mansaray (Seattle Sounders, USA) and Glen Kamara (Arsenal, England).

Six lifetime achievements awards will be given out to past footballers including late Idrissa ‘Police’ Kamara who will be honoured posthumously.

The other five are former Leone Stars captain Foday Sesay (Based in Georgia, USA), Leslie Allen (Based in New York, USA), Gbassay Sesay ( Based in Portugal), Alusine Terry (Based in London) and Abdul Cole (Based in London).

The is the second time and two times in a row the event is taking place in London in the same venue.

 

The maiden award ceremony in 2012 took place in Freetown in front of Leone Stars players and the receipient was Kei Ansu Kamara.
