According to the child right act, children should be sent to school and live a decent life in a conducive and accommodating environment.

The protection of the child must be given paramount consideration. The issue of child labour is becoming unbecoming in the country with children involving in stone mining and trading. So many reasons have been given for conduct of the crime. According to some interviews i have with some of these children, they said that the reason why they are doing street trading is because that it is their source of living.

 Many of those contacted by this author revealed that they are helping their parents and guidance to raise their fees; failure to do will see them becoming dropping out.

They claimed that they are brought to the city under the pretext of coming to educate them but upon arrival the story changes.
