He apologized to the people for not saying a proper goodbye before leaving for China. He further told them that even though he has been busy with official matters in China, he has to *thank his wife for being the strong rock behind him. He praised his wife for holding the fort during his absence and for keeping his family focused behind him as a pillar of support*.

While commenting that he is happy to have come back from China to see that his people are still together, Ambassador Koroma reminded the people that the current political landscape is such that some time soon, there will be a vacancy for president as the second term of the incumbent comes to an end. *In the event, he has embarked on a process of consultation, to engage his people with regard to his aspirations and to listen to their views and comments*.

Ambassador Koroma stressed that as a *very senior member of the party, he has to show restraint and listen to the admonition of the Chairman and Leader that this is not the time for open politics. He said that he would not do anything that could be a breach of party discipline and expectations*. He therefore asked his people to bear with him and wait until it is time to do anything extra. He informed the people that he is satisfied with the relationship between him and President Koroma.
