Police alleged that the accused on Wednesday 9 January, 2019 at Wharf Road, Cline Town in Freetown conspired with other persons unknown to rob Girish Kumar of Le220 million. 

 

The accused is charged with Conspiracy and Robbery with Violence Contrary to the Offences Against a Person’s Act, of 1861. 

 

Since the commencement of the matter, two weeks ago, the complainant has not appeared in court. The prosecutor has informed the court that the complainant is sick. However, he produced no evidence before the court to show that the complainant is sick. 

 

Tucker said this is unfair on the part of her client. The Magistrate did not grant the accused bail based on the seriousness of the charge. The matter comes up again tomorrow 13th February 2019.
