The donation according to him is in support of President Bio’s Free Quality Education programme. He added that as councilor this is one way he gives back to his constituents and their children. He went on to say that before now he had been making similar donations and that this is just another instance.

He added that empowerment through education is the key to nation building; and that he therefore saw the need to support vulnerable schoolchildren in his ward. According to him, he intends to extend the same gesture to secondary school children in the nearest future.

Habib Brooklyn, Youth Chairman in his address extended his thanks and appreciation to the councilor for the donation and for his tireless effort at supporting the less privileged school children within the ward over the years. He assured the councilor that the donation would be used for the intended purpose.

He advised parents and guardians to always monitor their child or ward’s school work, adding that the child that does well at school is the child whose parent or ward monitor the child’s progress.
