Addressing the recipients, the Project Manager, Wang Bong, commended the workers for their commitments and steadfastness in developing their skills for the development of the company and the country as a whole. He admonished them to always be mindful of challenges facing the company, especially in the areas of Quality, Quantity and Costs involved during the company’s operations and urged them to minimize loss, observe safety rules and other measures that would prevent problems encountered as a result of wastages, accidents and unnecessary issues that will debar the company’s progress.

The gesture, he said will not only help develop the country human resource, but will also promote national development and concretize the already existing friendly bilateral relations existing between Sierra Leone and China.

He entreated them to work as a team, saying that they will always regard themselves and their local staff as one family.

He reiterated his company’s unwavering commitment to contributing to the country’s development and promised to do more.

Receiving the his award, one of the workers, Philip Rogers, said he was employed as a Driver and has gone through a number of technical trainings that have enable him serve as one  the current trainers in the company. He thanked the company for transforming his life.

A mechanic, John Gbla revealed that trainings and other opportunities provided by the company have enhanced his skills greatly as he can now operate and mend a wide range of machines.

A Driver, Abu Bakarr Thoronka who has served the company for ten years, appreciated the gesture, saying it will serve as a motivation and opportunity for him to contribute to national development development and his personal wellbeing. With this gesture, management of CRSG hoped more talented Sierra Leoneans will join them improve staff and families standard of living and contribute to national development. The CRSG management pledged their continued strides to tap and sharpen the talents of staff through further education in both China and Sierra Leone. They also pledged their desire to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibilities by promoting development of organisations and communities they operate through the “One Family Culture”.
