According to a Senior Management Staff of CRSG, the first phase of the competition involved three teams comprising local staff and one team comprising Chinese nationals who contested in the event of reinforcing and bending of Iron Rods (Steel bending) used in the construction of Culverts.

At the end of the event, the four contestants who won the first positions on record time, received a bag of 25 Kilograms of rice each while Head of the team (Foreman) received a gallon of cooking oil and a bag of 25 Kilograms of rice. Holders of the second positions received a bag of 25 Kilograms of rice while those in third position were given certificates as consolation prizes. The second phase of the event took the form of a debate on the topic, “Promoting an institutionalized instead of a Humanized policy on Localisation of Management”. Judges were appointed from among the company’s experienced local staff who after thorough evaluation, declared the winners, followed by presentation of certificates and toiletries to those who argued for the topic, “Institutionalising the Localisation of CRSG’s Management Policy”. The best debater in this category bagged a brand new Football and certificate. The third category of event witnessed the asking and answering of Technical Questions and Answers, relating to the workers’ day- to-day activities. This was the most interesting event that attracted many local members of staff who were very enthusiastic to answer questions relating to their areas of operation.
