The result oriented Deputy Minister of Finance 1, Honorable Dr Patricia N. Laverley over the weekend visited the Hilton Hotel, Cape Sierra, Aberdeen in Freetown to inspect the ongoing work at the site.

According to the deputy minister, her visit to the site was on behalf of her authorities to meet with the Site Manager and Team of the SharpoojiPallonji Company in order to discuss certain issues and to see how best the Ministry of Finance can help to increase the speedy completion of the Hotel.

Welcoming the deputy minister of finance 1, the Site Manager and the administrative Team of the SharpoojiPallonji Company expressed their appreciation for the courtesy visit of deputy minister as they have been experiencing lots of issues which resulted to the delay of the completion of the project.

The manager in his own words said: “we will finish the Hilton Hotel, Cape Sierra Aberdeen by January 2022.”

He repeatedly assured the Honurable Deputy Minister that by 2022 the Talk and Do President Julius Maada Bio would officially cut the ribbon of 8 Floors and 200 bedrooms of the Hilton Hotel Cape Sierra Aberdeen.

The delay of the project according to the site manager is as a result of delay in processing of the Duty Waiver at the ministry of finance and the outbreak of Ebola Virus and the ongoing outbreak of Corona Virus, difficulties in clearing the containers at the Quay.

Whiles answering to these constrains faced by the construction company, the deputy finance ministerassured SharpoojiPalonji Company that she will report all these issues immediately to her authorities and that she will ensure that they find a way to solve them as short as possible.

She further assured the Company that her door is always open and that she would be visiting the site frequently.
