He said, after the establishment of EDSA, they have been able to set up a one stop shop, where consumers will be able to access electricity through purchasing of their meters and now the process of purchasing and getting the meter installed will last for less than fourteen days. Also the one stop shop serves as the customer center where information is requested. Also they have put up their service charter.
Another significant improvement that the EDSA was able to make was in the reduction of commercial and technical loses but that they have been able to reduce it. As for the commercial loses which occurs as a result of electricity, he said they are doing all it takes to make sure they reduce it drastically.
Dr Saccoi maintained that for proper management of their systems and to raise more revenue, they have consulted the service of Conlog a company in South Africa which is responsible to manage their management system as this will prevent fraud.
Furthermore he said, EDSA now has a comprehensive data base wherein they have all the information of the consumers, also they have been able to establish a modern network services.
The Public Relations Officer of EDSA Sahr Nepor called on the consumers to rely on the Authority as they are more than ready to give satisfaction to the customers.
He said they have been able to install 100,00 prepaid meters in household all over the country free of charge as this shows that they are committed to providing electricity for the people.
