Presenting the food items and fare to the people the first lady said their support is not politically motivated and assured that they will continue to support Muslims during Ramadan. She said the gesture is just the first of the many distributions they are set to do in this year’s Ramadan.

She called on Muslims to offer prayers for her husband during the month of Ramadan for guidance in executing his job. She assured the Muslims that whatever goodness they have been doing for the past three years they would continue to do.

Ending her statement, Mrs. Bio called on all good hearted Sierra Leoneans to support Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking during the donation, Sheikh Fomba Abubakarr Swaray applauded the first lady for the gesture, stating that the issue of food has been a major challenge for many Muslims observing the month of Ramadan.

Speaking on behalf of the JMB Women’s Wing, Hon. Emma Kowa said the items were meant to support the poor observing the month of Ramadan. She furthered that the JMB women are very much dedicated to support the poor and that they will continue their good work.
