The bail conditionality further called for two sureties in like sum who should be residential citizens within the Freetown judicial district and they must produce two national passports books, including their national identity cards, a title deed or bank statement equivalent to three hundred million leones and bail to be approved by the Master and Registrar of the court.

The accused, Boris Farfel is facing two counts charges of Forgery and Uttering Forgery, and that the particulars of the offence disclosed that on Wednesday 10 December 2014 the accused person prepared certain document with the intent to transferred the shares of the Roksalana Sierra Leone limited contrary to Section (3) sub Section (3) of the Forgery Act of 1913 of the laws of Sierra Leone.

Court records also disclosed that, the accused, Boris Farfel even forged a document in the name of Varoshenko Oleksandr on 10 December 2015 purporting to show that it was prepared and signed by the accused, Boris Farfel contrary to law.

Canvassing Magistrate Abubakar Binneh Kamara”s unfettered statutory discretion  for bail on behalf of the accused person, the lead Counsel, C. Pujeh argued that the accused person  is an investor with over forty million dollar investment in the country .

He said his Client is not a flight risk and has reputable sureties that are more than willing and ready to enter into any recognizance on his behalf and they will always present themselves to the court on every adjourned date.

On his part, the Associating Counsel, Yada Williams countered the defense arguments for bail not to be grant to the accused person on the legal grounds that, he has no knowledge of the forty million dollars investment lawyer C.Pujeh is  claiming that the accused person has  invested in the country, adding that the accused is flight risk with several nationalities, and that the defense Counsel’s application for bail on behalf of his Client was unsubstantiated.

At this juncture, Magistrate Abubakar Binneh Kamara ruled by granting bail to the accused person in the sum of four hundred million leones in like sum including two sureties and the above stated conditionalities attached therein.

The matter was adjourned to Friday 6th May 2016.

In separate development, the National Women’s Leader of the Opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party, Lulu Marion Sheriff, Musa Banya, Peter Lumeh and Sheku Paul Fofanah were on Tuesday 3rd May 2016 admitted to by Magistrate Abubakar Binneh Kamara in the sum of seventy million leones each for various offence ranging from riotous conduct to malicious damage, contrary to the Public Order Act of 1965 of the laws of Sierra Leone.

 

The charge sheet uncovered that four accused persons  were involved in riotous conduct, malicious damage including throwing of missiles on 27 April 2016 at along Wallace Johnson Street in the central part of the country’s capital Freetown. The four accused persons were represented by battery of legal luminaries such as A .E Halloway, Dr.Bubuakei Jabbie, J.k.Lansana, H.M Gevao, A.M. Kamara, S.S.Thomas, Musa Mewa, C.Vandy and L. M.Bayor. The matter was adjourned to Friday 6th May 2016.
