Late Samura: Rest in Peace

The High Court of Sierra Leone presided over by Hon. Justice A. K. Musa has yesterday 11th March 2021 acquitted and discharged former mayor of the Freetown, His Worship Herbert George-Williams and Abu Bakarr Daramy, former head of communication, Ministry of Agriculture.

The duo stood standing trials for Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Grievous Bodily Harm in relation to the death of the late Journalist Ibrahim Samura.

The verdict by the 11-man Jury came almost after a two years trial in which the state called ten witnesses. Both accused persons were represented by Human Rights and Criminal Defense Lawyers, Melron Nicol-Wilson and Lansana Dumbuya and the State was represented by Lawyer Umu Sumaray.
