According to the IMC Chief, among the over one hundred media institutions licensed to operate in Sierra Leone, the AYV Media Empire has been the best so far in terms of meeting media ethics and professionalism in news, operations, administration, entertainments and information.

“As chairman of the Commission, I am very confident to walk along with and display the AYV newspaper, listen to its radio station and above all boast of its television channel in any part of the world. AYV’s television broadcast contents and language proficiency is clean, perfect and advance at all levels.

Its newspaper’s contents are professional and ethical and its radio broadcast contents are professional and up to the task. All its print and electronic programmes could be compared to those of professional international media outlets across the world.

We at the IMC are very much proud and boastful of AYV Media Empire as it has been one of the few top media institutions that have never been complained to the IMC for reckless journalism. We are encouraging you to continue the good work of being professional and not violating the Media Code of Practice and Public Order Act among other ethics and professionalism regulatory statutes.” Ambassador Kanu ended up.

Giving similar accolades to the Empire at the Radisson Blu event was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Mercury International Sierra Leone, Martin Michael who thanked the owner, management and staff of AYV for what he described as; “a very professional” business relationship with Mercury over the years.

He said Mercury is doing business with over 50 media institutions in Sierra Leone and that AYV stands tall in terms of professionalism in operations. AYV he went on is the only medium in the country that has not been pressurizing Mercury for payment of advert fees, compared to other media houses that used to be at the company’s throat stick and knife for payments.

Also showering praises and accolades on the Empire for its ethics and professionalism were Africell’s acting Managing Director and Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce’s President who spoke at the event.

Speaking earlier, President – AYV Media Empire, Ambassador Anthony Junior Navo gave brief but very challenging and inspiring background on the establishment of the Empire. He recognized and thanked all his business partners including the U.S, U.K and Chinese Embassies in Sierra Leone; Guarantee Trust Bank and Chamber of Commerce among other institutions for the endless cooperation they have been giving to the Empire.

President Navo further thanked and appreciated past and current managements and staff of AYV for positioning the Empire at the admirable and enviable position it is today, whiles also encouraging them to continue the good work.

It can be recalled that beautiful faces of staff of the Marketing Department of AYV Media Empire were all over major streets of Freetown past Friday marketing the newly rebranded AYV newspaper with an upgraded and very rich well packaged contents of 24 pages on a daily publication not excluding Sundays.

Also, both AYV television channel and radio station have been upgraded with new and very educative and entertaining programmes now being enjoyed.
