If the market structure of career development is at exponential disequilibrium, then the problem of unemployment will only become more tangible. Sierra Leone should continue to strengthen education in areas of high priority and low productivity in the economy.  There are so many scraped vehicles in the streets of Freetown because of untrained technicians.  The solution will be to improve the man power of vehicle technicians and certify all the garages and trade technicians in the country.  The list……continues on other technical areas, and the Lebanese and Chinese are now filling the gaps.  Therefore, the mismatch between the demand and supply for technical manpower in Sierra Leone is compensated by foreign technical intervention in our labour market.

I think the Peace and Conflict Study and Social Work programmes at FBC are important and the departments will continue to market them to attract public attention.  I think we need to balance the demand and supply in the labour market, by producing the right quality and quantity graduates in all capacity development programmes, be it Accounting, Economics, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Education, Journalism… etccccc..
