“I understand the difficulties that most women are going through, especially in these days of austerity in our country. The motherly nature of women to support their homes, including their husbands and children is what prompted me to launch the micro-credit scheme,” Sisay said while presenting the sum Le50 million to kick-start the loan scheme which was aimed at transforming the lives of the less privileged women in surrounding communities across the chiefdom.

Sisay added that he was impressed with the women of Kaffu Bullom for turning out in large numbers to witness the launch of the micro-credit scheme.

“Such actions demonstrate that the women appreciate our contributions to help transform their lives and build a better society for all and sundry”, he landed.

The women groups were joined by key stakeholders in the chiefdom to attend the ceremony, which many of them described as a step in the right direction to bring an end to their sufferings.

In her contribution chiefdom chairlady, Memunatu Kamara, said she was confident that the sufferings that most women were going through would be over as a result of the timely intervention of J4BS Movement.

She further thanked the leader and his team for the opportunity they had provided them to be among the beneficiaries and assured him that the monies would be utilized wisely.
