Speaking to AYV, Mr. Joe Sesay said he and his team were never arrested nor were they detained at CID for the alleged Le206 million Leones which had been misappropriated by certain officials attached at the Ministry of Information and Communication.

He added that he has never been invited to make a statement at the CID over the alleged missing money. “My team and I are safe and sound. We never siphoned any money and those involved in such a scam are under investigation by the ACC,” Joe Sesay confidently said.

He went on to say that as morally upright man who fears God and respects the law, he will never ever engage in any corrupt practice because he is content with the little he has.

“Those who are parading with fake news that I had been called upon by the ACC for questioning over the missing Le 206,000,000 are trying to distract me from concentrating on my job. But they will never succeed because I am focused and content,” Joe Sesay maintained.

He used the opportunity to commend President Bio for his success at turning things round for the good of the general public within the short time he has been in office.

He maintained that after two years in office, President Bio would have achieved more in terms of infrastructural and socio-economic development for the general good of every Sierra Leonean irrespective of political party affiliation, region or tribe.
