Kamara was traded to New England Revolution after he fell out with Columbus Crew for arguing on the pitch with teammate Higuain and criticising him in a post match press conference over who should take a penalty.
He was initially given a one-match ban by Columbus Crew’s Manager Gregg Berhalter, but he disagreed with the decision and insisted that he had no regrets over his actions and his comments.
But Kamara was shocked at the decision to trade him to his new club.
He said: “It’s a shock to me and my family. I have done nothing but good on and off the field for Columbus. But my journey continues and this time is for New England Revolution.”
Kamara had a good 2015 season scoring 26 goals. He scored five goals for Crew in the ongoing MLS before he left, and he’s hoping to continue his good scoring form in his new club.
