Speaking to the nation through Radio Democracy FM 98.1 yesterday 16th January, NGC’s Campaigns Spokesman, Dr. Julius Spencer said KKY used to be a holder of an American passport, making him a dual citizenship holder but has denounced it since November 2017 when he was approved by the party to serve as presidential candidate for the March polls.

He further revealed that Alhaji Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella has completed all the internal screening processes as a qualified Candidate for Member of Parliament for Constituency 062, Samu chiefdom, Kambia district in the North West Region and that as a result, will contest the general elections on March 7, 2018 both as the Presidential Candidate of the NGC and as a candidate for Constituency 62.

The NGC campaigns mouthpiece went on to say the National Grand Coalition has also filed with the National Electoral Commission 504 local council and mayoral candidates out of the 511 local councils and municipal seats available.

Furthermore, he went on, the NGC also successfully filed a total of 132 parliamentary candidates for all the constituencies and that the party continue to vigorously march forward as the new force and agent of change with its message of hope, opportunity and transformation.

Dr. Spencer concluded that the nomination for NGC candidates for Parliament in the Western Area as well as for President will take place tomorrow Thursday January 18 at NEC headquarters in Freetown.

He used the forum as an opportunity to call on all members and supporters of the party to turn out to support their presidential and parliamentary candidates at the NEC event tomorrow.
