The former media practitioner drew out a six-point plan he will work on if elected as Member of Parliament of his constituency.

He was speaking at a press conference held yesterday in Freetown where he noted that as a former journalist with vast experience on diverse issues, he will take parliament to the people and also bring the legislature to his constituents.

“I will make Parliament accountable to the people if I am elected,’’ he said, adding that under the SLPP and APC the legislature was not accountable to people as laws several were being endorsed unceremoniously.

According to LAJ-K, the 63 million given to parliamentarians on a quarterly basis for constituency development and facilitation fund was hopelessly misused by past MPs.

“They spent the money on themselves rather than the community people,” he asserted.

He said: “NGC parliamentarians will change the face of our parliament as they will establish constituency development committees to decide the use of constituency development and facilitation funds. Constituency committees will ensure that offices are rented for MPs and their various constituencies to listen to ordinary people on issues that should be discussed in parliament.”

LAK K went on assuring that NGC will ensure that Sierra Leoneans enjoy their God’s-given wealth and that NGC MPs will lead the review of all bad policies and retrieve monies meant for the state.
