Efforts to get responses from the Chairman – Council of Legal Education and the Director of Law School proved futile.
Despite these efforts, the reportedly “wicked lecturers” are refusing to be granted an interview because of political reasons and their diabolical venom emitted on innocent students. The public is now raising an eye brow on why lecturers are in the habit of intimidating students. Some are now casting doubt on the credibility of some of the lecturers who are using politics to victimise folks from other regions because of their names and regional backgrounds.
One of those students who is still being victimised and intimidated is Retired Lieutenant Lahai Leema who was sacked from the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces because of his reportedly regional background and political affiliation.
Rtd. Lieutenant Leema who was rudely sacked is also among those students who face the wrath of inhuman lecturers at the Law School. Leema, according to competent source, failed because he is the current Acting Spokesman and Publicity Secretary of the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party ( SLPP ).
When contacted via mobile phone, courageous Leema said: “I cannot comment further but it is glaring that Jesus Christ went through a lot of persecution. As Christians, we glorify God for everything that faces us on earth. I was told I did not pass and I cannot comment.”
Shockingly, the citadel of learning-Fourah Bay College was defeated by University of Makeni (UNIMAK). It will now be recorded in our historical books that one Victoria Adama Koroma of UNIMAK is the 2015 champion of Law School.
Said the Program Director of Media Centre for Governance Reform:”This is strange in the 21st century. It is indeed strange to see lecturers seeking pride to fail their students. The simple interpretation is, the lecturers are not qualified to lecture because they have also failed. “
He said two of the students who went this afternoon to see their results at the former Special Court Building went into coma.
It could be recalled that following the unabated examination malpractices unearthed in 2013/14 by certain students, the Anti Corruption Commission came under public condemnation for what many described as condoning an age corruption at the Law School.
Meanwhile, what is worrying most Sierra Leoneans is that some of the causes of the decade civil war are still visible today. Among them are regionalism, intimidation and victimisation by few rogues.

According to Alie Kamara who is pursuing his Masters Degree in the United Kingdom, “state institutions have become a tool of repression, harassment, discrimination while abysmal human rights violation is the order of the day been exercise by the APC political party and led government. I strongly believe that the country has degenerated to pre-conflict stage and very soon the stage of confrontation will be reach.”
He told those hard working students that “all is not lost, have faith and continue to challenge the present system through Non-violence democratic means. He claimed that “The justice system is controlled by the President; neither can you seek justice in the present state of our country.”
