She said that she held the deceased, who was visibly disorientated and at this time had apparently lost the ability to maintain balance. She added that through the help of one Daniel Lebbie, she helped him to sit on the side of the road, thus preventing the troubled man from falling.

“I held him and make him to sit by the side of the road. We propped him up, and he started breathing heavily,” she said.

She said that at this stage the man attempted to talk but his tongue was tangling but she barely understood the words the man mumbled unclearly to be Wilberforce perhaps in a one last attempt to inform her about where he was coming from knowing that he was about to die.

“I looked in his pocket and I saw his cell-phone. As I was making calls through to contact numbers in the phone saliva and foam started oozing from the man’s mouth and nose. He died when I was using his phone to call some contact numbers of people who knew him,” she said.

She added that she got onto a relative who is a nephew to the deceased man who later came to the scene.

The aforementioned relative Samuel Decker, who is a son to the deceased’s sister identified the man as Akibo Decker who is a resident of No. 36 Freetown Road Wilberforce. Samuel Decker informed another Akibo Decker who is a son to the deceased and another brother came to the scene which at this time had been crowded with onlookers. When asked one of the deceased’s sons admitted that his father had a blood pressure condition.

The corpse laid on the side of the road until an ambulance team from the King Harman Road Government Hospital collected it from the culvert on the side of the road.
