Public statements on the meeting were the usual affirmations of solidarity and cooperation in all areas among the three countries including trade, security, diplomacy at the international level and so on, but the nitty gritty or details of these discussions remain at presidential level as they should.

The Mano River Union is a sub-regional group with the Economic Community of West African States commonly known as ECOWAS, which in turn belongs to the biggest continental organization, the African Union.
