He said: “This presentation is in fulfillment of our continued support to assist SWASAL not only to hold their AGM but to show we are still working with the Association.  This is also part of Mercury International social-cooperate responsibility.”

Mr. Hassanyeh heaped praises on SWASAL for their continued promotion of sports in Sierra Leone and urged members not to relent in their quest to ensure ‘the development of all sports in the country.’

Receiving the cheque, the SWASAL President Mr. Frank Magnus Ernest Cole thanked the chairman for the laudable gesture adding that the presentation becomes the company biggest financial support towards the association since his administration took up office in May 2015.

Cole recalled how few years back SWASAL partnership with Mercury International commenced in 2010 and since then both parties have enjoyed and continued to enjoy better and good working relationship.

He said: “On behalf of my Executive we expressed our thanks and appreciation towards this support and like always we promised to use this money for it intended purpose.”

 

This year’s theme is: ‘Sports for Sustainable National Development…The role of SWASAL.”
