Communities from both direct and indirect impact operational zones of Milla Group, benefitted from the goodwill gesture. Schools like FAWE Grassroots Primary School at Kissy Bye Pass benefited from bundles of zinc, roofing nails, water tanks and hand pump for the school and pupils. The just concluded candidates of the NPSE from the UBC Primary School, Nasir Primary School, pupils from Fisher Lane attending schools outside the community received exams writing materials from Milla Group Sierra Leone Limited as donation.   

 The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Milla Group Sierra Leone Limited, John Lansana said the donated learning materials geared towards reducing financial burden from most parents whose kids were candidates and was classified as an effort towards human resources development. Lansana added that the donated cleaning materials was to embark on cleaning and dislodge blocked drainage channels within communities in order to cub flooding, with the commencement of the rainy season and its concomitant devastating effects of late.

According to Milla Group Chief Operation Officer, Rajesh Hemnani noted that “this gesture is in fulfilment of Milla Group Corporate Social Responsibility, especially to the project operational community” he added that the goodwill gesture happened to be a regular annual tradition of the Milla Group to the Fisher Lane Community. He said the implementation exercise is in line with the industry’s obligation and binding pledge to support the community development action plans towards sustainable development.

Hemnani furthered that Milla Group will always remained as developmental partners to the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) in conformity with the Agenda for Prosperity. The Chief Operation Officer declared his desk and management respect to the Environmental Protection Agency Sierra Leone and pledges their commitments to the Agency regulation and compliance.

Milla Group Sierra Leone Limited Consultant, Anthony Toban Davies said that the gestures are their Corporate Social Responsibility and it was obligatory that companies contribute in sustainable development to their host communities.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Milla Group Sierra Leone Limited, John Lansana thanked the Fisher Lane community delegates, opinion leaders, the councillors and Honourable Members of Parliament and all staff of Milla Group for contributing towards the company social relation.
