Dr. Desmond Conteh stated “an excellent student was once asked for the reasons for his remarkable progress, he simply reply ‘I worked hard and stayed focused’. Many students have terminated their studies at a tender time because they were not focused on what they came for.”

He further pleaded with the experience students not to initiate their inexperience fellows into cultism and that they should be focused in achieving what they applied for in the institution.

Principal, Milton Margai College of Education Science and technology Congo Cross campus, Dr. Saidu Kanu said the day happened to be a milestone achievement, as the college hosting its first matriculation ceremony after fifty years of existence and that the services of the college was dedicated towards serving the nation and beyond.

“this institution is evermore ready determined to provide quality education to our people for their effective contributions towards national development aspirations of our beloved country.” stated Dr. Saidu Kanu.

He reiterated that providing quality education for future leaders of this country could not be achieved with just sets of objectives and that set objectives could only be achievable when the provision of an enabling and conducive learning environment happened to be available.

Chairman, Conference of Principals of Polytechnics & Teacher Training College Prof. Mohamed Lahai stated that matriculation was not simply mean enrolling for a course of study in a college or university, adding that 2016/2017 matriculants would gain full membership into the Miltonian family that had a glorious history that had spanned for over five decades and that with their membership come, come rights, duties and responsibilities.
