Over the weekend, leading mobile companies in the country, Airtel and Africell signed a memorandum of understanding with NATCOM to improve mobile network services in Sierra Leone to International Telecommunications Union (ITU) standards.

A joint press statement signed by the three parties announced that the improvement would be achieved within forty five (45) days.

This move has been widely applauded by subscribers who have been clamoring for such change.

This close collaboration between NATCOM and the mobile operators to achieve quality is coming in the wake of the assumption of office of the new NATCOM Chairman Momoh Konte.
