She made these remarks during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sierra Leone Scout Association held past weekend at Scout Headquarters at New England Ville in. Freetown.

She thanked her colleague Scouters for the confidence reposed in her and assured them that with the help of God she would take scouting to higher height.

She replaces the outgoing Chief Scout, Mr. Nasir Ahmed Kamanda Bongay who has served the association for over six years.

Also Senior Scouter, Sheikh Fomba Abubakarr Swarray, the Chief Imam of Madingo Central Mosque was elected President of the National Scout Executive Council, former Chief Scout and Chief Fire Officer of the National Fire Office, Nasir Amanda K. Bongay was elected Vice President 1, Senior Staff Writer of Global Times Alhaji Saidu Kamara was elected Vice President 2 and Vice President 3 went to Salamatu Victoria Kamara. The Legal Commissioner, Lawyer Bernard Jones presented the new revised constitution of the SLSA.

He thanked members of the constitutional committee for their support and cooperation in making the work very successful.

Five members were also elected as Ex-officio members: they are Princess Griggs Davies, Olivetti G. Cole, Percy A.J. Nicolson and young adult leaders.

Scouter Ibrahim Conteh of Area 7 is the new Honorary Secretary of the SLSA replacing the outgoing Secretary, Clasious Campbell of the FCC.

The AGM was well attended with all the regions fully represented and foreign scouts from United Kingdom and South Korea witnessed the AGM and the Director of Social Services, Mr. Francis’s Kabia represented the Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs.
