Khadija Sesay submitted that the project is a way of monitoring all sectors that are into providing services for the livelihood of people in the country. She added that the people comments are very much instrumental in holding the different services provider to task.

Communications consultant, Open Government Initiative Alasan Kabia said the communications strategy 2017 is a means of enabling the people to send their comment on services provided in the country by different service providers.

Alasan Kabia explained that the focus is mainly on technology and its role in holding the government and the private sector accountable and that data has become very critical in Sierra Leone’s attempt to control the activities of public service providers in the country.

He maintained “a data portal named OGBox and a digital library named the OG Library will be collecting and analyzing texts and calls from OGP call centers, text questionnaires, OGI suggestion boxes, radio station calls/ texts online/whatsapp comments and the ‘have your say’ television programs.

Technology Consultant, Dr. Alim Mackie – Conteh stated that the library will provide over one million E- Books in all subjects, online newspaper, multi – lingual thesaurus, OGI video library, report PDFs, citation/references and all the phone calls received by the OGP call center, and that the OGI will administer this library and control the access to these documents via a highly sophisticated search portal.
