Presenting the meritorious awards, the Presidential Spokesman who also deputized President Ernest Bai Koroma, Abdulai Bayraytay informed a galaxy of dignitaries and important state personalities that His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Hussien Antar was born in the Port Loko District northern part of Sierra Leone.

He told the well attended gathering that, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Hussien Antar started his elementary education in Sierra Leone before proceeding to Lebanon where he graduated with a BSc degree in Business Administration at the University of Lebanon.

He maintained that Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Antar has carved a niche for himself in the area of human endeavors, such as demonstrating proficiency in international business relations, diplomacy, firm belief in multi religious dimensions and the need to worship God Almighty.

According to the Presidential Spokesman, Abdulai Bayraytay, Alhaji Ibrahim Hussein Antar has lived a life worth emulating and one that is spiced with humanitarianism, maintaining fruitful and unshakable bilateral relations between Pakistan and other nations the world over, and also providing assistance to various development activities in the country.

He described His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Antar as the first Sierra Leonean to provide large quantity of Chlorine, ambulances and other medical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation when the world’s deadliest Ebola Virus Disease broke out in the country, adding that he has over the years engaged in numerous development activities and at the same time provided assistance to various communities and organizations coupled with respect for all manner of persons.

The awards, he went on is in fulfilment of the positive contributions of respective awardees and at the same time encourage d and inspired other Sierra Leoneans to emulate and imbibe the spirit of patriotism, love for one another and keen interest in achieving economic prosperity for all and sundry.

Receiving the award, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Hussien Antar expressed profound gratitude to the organizers, government and the people of Sierra Leone for the honour bestowed on him and further recognizing his contributions towards the development of the country.

He informed his audience that, he believes in the ideology of patriotism and giving a helping hand to the disadvantage, less considered and poor and the needy, whiles assuring the government and his compatriot of his continued support to all projects geared towards the development of Sierra Leone.

However, this glamorous national event is organized annually to recognize Sierra Leoneans and other people in society both in the public and private sector who have contributed immensely and positively towards the liberating Sierra Leoneans from the shackle of poverty ignorance in consonance with the Taylor Cummings Garden Treasure.

Other important  personalities  that were decorated with the meritorious award include; the Chief Immigration Officer, Kholifa Koroma, Chief Justice, Abdulai Charm, Inspector General of Police, Francis Allieu Munu, NASSIT Commissioner General, Joseph Saidu Mans to name a few. 

 

The occasion was chaired by the Director General of the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation, Elvis Gbanabom Halloway.
